Location History

1989 - Farmington, New Mexico operations are
acquired. An opportunity presented itself when the former General Electric Apparatus Service Shop in Farmington, New Mexico was going to be divested. We bought this shop in a negotiation which took less than a week to complete. Since then, we have grown this business which serves the coal mining, electric utility and energy business in the four corners region of the west. The Farmington, New Mexico shop is now located in a new purpose built premises and remains a steady performer in our group.

Farmington Information

Farmington, New Mexico is located on a high desert plateau in the northwest corner of the state. A farming community turned "boom town", Farmington is situated at the doorstep of many of the key recreational and cultural sites of the southwest. To the north lie the rugged and beautiful San Juan Mountains, and the charming mining towns and ski areas that draw thousands of visitors each year to what many call "God's country".

To the northwest is the Ute Indian Reservation and Mesa Verde National Park, an ancient ruin of the Ute people. To the northeast is the Southern Ute Indian Reservation, Navajo State Park and Quality Waters, home to world class trout and salmon fishing, and the Aztec Ruins National Monument.
